Just a hint

I'd just like to take this moment to hint my fellow travellers on the Victoria line tube. If you read a book on the tube and you're not making any friends, it might be the fact that you are reading a chapter called "How to prepare for Jihad" that is putting them off...

Bloody weather...

Icy cold, wet and dirty. It's London allright... Spent my two hour flight sitting between two ladies, both with vicious breath. The plane was fully booked and one had to get whatever seat one could find, as another passanger experienced. He told the staff loud an clear that he needed to sit close to the lavatories because he was likely to need to vomit during the flight, still he had to make do with a seat close to the toilets but with people blocking his way there. I was happy enough that he wasn't seated next to me with his worried stomach... To top it off I couldn't concentrate on my book, because a cheery young mother was reading a story to her two young children loud enough for everybody to hear it. Now Stina Mrs and I are going to go into town to do errands and maybe bump into Kat, Babs or/and Ming...

Going to London...

Tomorrow, feb 21th 2006, my journey starts. I'm heading of to London where I'll hang out with Mrs for a while before we both head off to Ghana. I've packed my stuff already and am eager to go. I have to pass time somehow though, so for example I started this blog that is supposed to be continously updated throughout the trip.

I admit this first post to be a bit of a test, which is why I'll post this highly uninteresting picture of my new backpack. Isn't she a beauty? 28 litres of wonderful daytrip goodness! It allows air in between the actual bag and my back aswell in a clever ventilating way, so I won't get too sweaty under the African sun...
